Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 05, 2026
1. Introduction
Your privacy is critically important to us. At Free Online Notepad, we have a few fundamental principles:
- We don't ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
- We don't share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
- We don't store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
2. Data Storage
Local Storage: Free Online Notepad is designed as a "local-first" application. The notes you create are stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB database. This means your private writings never leave your device unless you explicitly choose an export option.
3. Information We Collect
Since we do not require account creation, we collect very little information. We may collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.
4. Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Free Online Notepad uses local storage mechanisms (LocalStorage and IndexedDB) strictly for functionality (saving your preferences and notes). We do not use cookies for tracking purposes.
5. Changes to This Policy
Free Online Notepad may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Free Online Notepad's sole discretion. We encourage visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy.
